Aloo stuffed Bread Pakoda Recipe

Aloo Stuffed Bread Pakoda is a very tasty and wonderful dish. It is also very easy to make and healthy for us. The most common recipe is to prepare it in a triangular shape with potato stuffing, but it is also prepared with a paste of gram flour without any ordinary spices. Which people like very much on a common basis and If you want to make bread pakoras without stuffing than just ignore the stuffing process and dip each bread slices in the gram flour batter and follow the same process. Everybody likes to eat bread pakoras with morning breakfast or evening tea. It is a South Indian dish. Which is one of the very popular dish.

It’s a hot favorite snack to munch on during the monsoons, there’s nothing like a cup of hot chai with freshly made hot bread pakodas and to make it so we need some ingredients like bread, potato, green chili, coriander leaves, red chili, Coriander powder, oil, etc.

step 1: Ingredients for making Aloo Stuffed Bread Pakoda

  • Bread Slices
  • Oil, for deep frying
  • 2 medium potatoes  (boiled and chopped )
  • 1 Green Chilli, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dry Mango Powder
  • A pinch of Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste

step 3: For outer coating

  • 1 cup Gram Flour (besan)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Water as needed
  • Salt to taste

step 4: Instructions for Stuffing

  • First of all, peel boiled potatoes and mass it.
  • And heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Now roast the onions till they turn golden brown.
  • And now mix red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, potato lentils and mix well.
  • After that add mango powder and green coriander.
  • And transfer it in a bowl.

step 5: Instructions for Outer Coating

  • Take 1 cup gram flour, and 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder and salt in a wide-mouthed bowl.
  • Add water as needed (approx. 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons) and mix well to make the batter.
  • The batter should not be too thick or too thin. It should have a consistency like baji/pakoda batter.

step 6: Instructions for Making Bread Pakoda

  • First of all, take one bread slice and spread stuffing mixture evenly over it.
  • And cover it with another bread slice and gently press it. Cut it diagonally into two triangle-shaped pieces.
  • Now prepare all bread slices (raw pakoras) in the same way.
  • After that Heat oil for deep frying bread pakoras over medium flame.
  • And coat it evenly on all sides with the batter.
  • After that gently lift it with your hand and slide it in the medium hot oil.
  • Then deep fry until bottom surface turns light golden brown. then It will take approx. 1-2 minutes.
  • After that Flip, it and deep fry another side until the bottom surface turns light golden and crispy. After that, Fry both sides until it turns crispy and light golden brown on all sides.
  • And then remove it from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with a paper napkin. Deep fry remaining bread pakodas in the same way and serve hot or warm.
