Mysore Masala Dosa, a very tasty dish prepared with a thin and crispy pancake fermented dosa batter. This gives a more delicious taste with red garlic sauce and potato spices and Its shape is similar to the world-famous masala dosa. But the main difference lies with the red garlic sauce and this is a South Indian dish, people make it in the South.
To make this masala dosa, we have to soak Black gram and rice. For 4-5 hours and this is a very important step to make dosa, when we soak the lentil rice for 4-5 hours, after that we grind it finely with the help of a mixer and to make a dosa so that the dosa can be made well and easily.
To make dosa we need some essential ingredients like rice, Black gram, pigeon pea, boiled potatoes, red chili sauce, green chili, oil, and salt, etc because, With the help of these spices, we can easily make dosa.
Step 1: Ingredients for Mysore Masala Dosa
- 1½ cup dosa rice
- ½ cup urad dal
- ¼ tsp methi/fenugreek seeds
- water for soaking
Step 2: Ingredients for Aloo Bhaji for Mysore Masala Dosa
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard/rai
- ½ tsp cumin/jeera
- 1 tsp chana dal
- ½ tsp urad dal ( Black gram )
- pinch of hing / asafoetida
- 1 dried red chili
- few curry leaves
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1- inch ginger, finely chopped
- ½ tsp turmeric / Haldi
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 potato, boiled and mashed
- 2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Step 3: Ingredients for Red Chutney
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 tbsp chana dal
- 1-inch ginger, chopped
- 3 clove garlic, chopped
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 3 dried Kashmiri red chili
- ¼ tsp turmeric / Haldi
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup water, to blend
Step 4: Instructions for making Aloo Bhaji
- First of all, heat oil in a pan.
- And add turmeric, mustard urad dal and gram dal to it.
- After that let it cooks on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Now add onion and cook till it becomes golden.
- Now mix the remaining ingredients.
- Then add Green coriander leaves and lemon juice.
- Masala is ready for the stuffing of dosa.
Step 5: For making Red Chutney
- First of all, heat oil, and chana dal till it turns golden brown.
- And then add in the ginger, garlic, onion and saute well.
- Also add dried red chili, turmeric and saute.
- After that transfer the mixture to a small mixi /grinder and add the salt.
- Then blend to smooth paste adding water.
- So finally, the red chutney is ready to prepare a Mysore masala Dose.
Step 6: Instructions for making Mysore Masala Dosa
- First of all soak rice and lentils separately.
- After that drain water from both in the morning.
- Now grind the rice with the help of mixi /grinder.
- And now add salt and chili to the lentils and grind them finely.
- After that mix the rice and lentil paste well.
- And now mix water in it and prepare the batter of dosa.
- Then spread the solution on the greased hot pan and roast the dosa.
- Now our Dosa is ready to serve with chutney and we can also serve with souces.
