Ingredients

  • 1 kg Sago soaked
  • 2 kg potato boiled and mashed
  • 5 kg water
  • 1 tbsp green chili paste
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • salt according to taste

Instructions

  • Firstly, in a large bowl soak Sabudana in enough water for 3 to 4 hours or till it gets mashed up easily. depending on the quality of Sabudana increase or decrease the soaking time.
  • Boil Potato in a pressure cooker.
  • Now mash potato properly and make a thin paste with the help of water.
  • After 4 hours drain off the water from Sabudana and transfer to a large vessel.
  • Add water in it and mix well.
  • Now add mash potato, salt, chili paste, cumin seeds, and mix well.
  • Boil for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Cook till the Sabudana pearls turn translucent.
  • Our mixture is ready to make Papad.
  • Meanwhile, put some oil on a large plastic sheet and keep it ready.
  • Now with the help of a spoon, pour the mixture on a plastic sheet and spread it as thin as possible (giving the shape of round papad).
  • Sundry them for 2 days or till it dries out completely turning translucent.
  • All the papads should be prepared in this way by making a small distance. Dry Suji papad in strong sunlight for two days.
  • After drying completely, fry in hot oil and serve.
